Sponsored Kids
Every month some of the money from our weekly offering is used to sponsor two teenagers through Compassion International. Philip, from Uganda, and Selvi, from India, are given the opportunity to know God and to receive salvation through Jesus Christ. They also have the opportunity to receive medical care and an education that they might not otherwise receive.

In his home, Philip helps by carrying water,gathering firewood and sewing. He lives with his foster mother and foster father. His foster father is sometimes employed and his foster mother is sometimes employed as a teacher. There are 6 children in his family.
As part of Compassion's ministry, Philip participates in church activities and choir. He is also in primary school where his performance is average. Rolling a hoop, soccer, and playing with cars are his favorite activities.

In her home, Selvi helps by gardening, caring for children, and caring for animals. She lives with her father and mother. Her father is sometimes employed as a laborer and her mother maintains the home. There are 3 children in the family.
For fun, Selvi enjoys singing, jumping rope, and listening to music. She attends church activities, Bible class, and Vacation Bible School regularly, and is in middle school where her performance is average.
